Tony Bedard

Tony Bedard

Chief Executive Officer

Tony leads Frontier’s mission to nourish people and planet with a passion for doing good that is rooted in operational excellence and service work. Tony joined Frontier as a Plant Manager in 1991, was promoted to VP of Operations, then served as interim CEO in 1999 and 2000 before being officially named CEO in 2002. Tony has led more than 25 delegations to El Salvador and Haiti to support a number of projects providing education, water, medical services and business support to people and organizations in need of assistance. Tony has a Bachelor of Technology from the University of Northern Iowa and a Masters from Kettering University.

Vice President of Global Sourcing

Cole is responsible for all of the raw materials and finished products that enter and exit our facilities – a logistical task that involves sourcing from over 50 countries and distributing over 8,000 items. Cole has 25 years of experience with organic and natural products – all of them at Frontier. Playing an active role in the purchasing operations he oversees, Cole forms partnerships with hard-working farmers and suppliers all over the globe, from our own backyard in Iowa to the Middle East, Asia and beyond. The only continent he hasn’t visited and formed a supplier relationship on is Antarctica. Cole has B.A. in Business Administration from Coe College and an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business.

Ravin Donald, Ph.D.

Ravin Donald, Ph.D.

Vice President of Technical Services

Ravin has been ensuring food safety and quality standards at Frontier since 1999, starting with the oversight of our instrumentation and quality labs and eventually developing the programs and standards that define our brands as quality and safety leaders in our industry. He manages teams that oversee all quality, product development and research efforts. Ravin started his career as a research scientist studying the preservation of the environment using biochemistry and naturally occurring microbes to clean up manmade contaminations. This focus area propelled Ravin’s work at Frontier, aligning nicely with our goal of minimizing our footprint on the planet. Ravin has B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Microbiology, an M.S. in Biology, and a Ph.D. in Biology, all from Northern Arizona University. He is a post-doctoral fellow at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Iowa.

Nicole Erickson

Controller

Nicole heads Frontier's finance department, aligning the business and finance strategy to grow the co-op while staying true to the Frontier mission and values. She leads business improvement initiatives such as company cost reduction, pricing execution and financial innovations. Her focus is driving positive change and continuous improvement through data collection, analytics, and collaboration. Nicole has a B.A. in Management Accounting from Alverno College and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She is CPA certified and Six Sigma Green Belt certified.

Dave Karpick

Dave Karpick

Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Essentials

Dave connects mindful consumers with quality products by guiding our Essentials business – the Aura Cacia brand of essential oils and personal care products. With 20-plus years of experience in consumer products marketing, innovation and sales roles, Dave helps Aura Cacia meet our customers’ needs for ethically sourced and sustainably produced aromatherapy products of the highest quality. He specializes in creating and growing strong brands through cross-functional leadership and innovative new product development. Dave has a B.S. in Engineering from Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Clint Landis

Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Clint has helped Frontier’s co-op members achieve their goals since 1993, when he helped cultivate the natural products industry’s growing demand for high quality essential oils as the category manager for Frontier’s early aromatherapy product lines. He currently leads the sales and marketing teams on the food and flavorings side of our business, which are anchored by the Frontier and Simply Organic brands of spices and seasonings. With 25-plus years of experience in branded sales and marketing in traditional grocery and natural foods, Clint relishes the process of working with teams to nurture ideas born from needs, and craft them into innovative, sustainably sourced food products. Clint has a B.A. in Political Science from Mount Mercy University and an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business.

Jen Olsen

Jen Olsen

Vice President of Operations

Jen is responsible for all aspects of Frontier's processing and production. She has 18 years of manufacturing experience, including processing, packaging, project management, logistics and overseeing a variety of warehouse operations. She enjoys the fast pace of operations and looks forward to seeing the finished products on the store shelf. Her work style is centered on coaching, building teams and enabling people to play to their strengths. Jen moved her family to primarily organic and whole foods about a year ago, and they now own a small farm and raise some of their own food. Her education includes a BS in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University.

Megan Schulte

Megan Schulte

Human Resources Director

Megan helps every Frontier employee find and maintain a career path through training and development opportunities designed specifically for the roles and needs of our industry. She manages recruiting strategies and staffing projections while overseeing our Human Resources department. Her team is focused on nurturing Frontier’s unique culture and work/life balance through an array of programs and benefits like our on-site childcare and our organic café. Megan has a B.A. from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. from Mount Mercy University.
