Poppy seeds add interest to breakfast. They also partner well with strawberries and other fruit. These poppy seed waffles are delicious with a fruit syrup or fresh fruit on the side.
1. Heat poppy seeds in milk. Simmer for 5 minutes. Cool.
2. Combine milk and poppy seeds with oil, honey and eggs. In a separate bowl, combine wheat germ, flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add liquid ingredients to dry and mix. Cook according to your waffle iron directions.
