Old-Fashioned Skillet Bread

Skillet bread is a unique no-knead bread that is "baked" in a skillet. This bread can be cut into wedges and serve with butter, or squared, sliced and toasted, or served with sliced tomatoes for open-faced chicken sandwiches.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 7-inch ovenproof skillet.

Pour milk into a large bowl and stir in vinegar. In a small bowl, whip the butter and sugar together. Add butter/sugar to milk/vinegar. In another bowl, mix dry ingredients together. Stir dry ingredients into liquid ingredients, mixing until just moist. Spread into skillet.

Bake 40 to 50 minutes, until golden along the edges.
