Progressive. Entrepreneurial. Fast-growing. Responsible. These are all words that describe Frontier Natural Products Co-op.

Since we began in 1976, we've become the largest buyer and seller of organic herbs in the United States, as well as the manufacturer of several leading natural brands and the distributor of many other natural products. With high sales growth, Frontier is the market leader in numerous product categories.

Our success has won us public recognition and our ethics and social responsibility are widely repected throughout the natural food industry. Our secret? Simple: we hire the most talented people, then give them the freedom to exercise their skills.

Frontier offers the chance to assume ownership of your job, propose creative solutions to business challenges and make an immediate impact. All in a casual environment that fosters a sense of family. And because our success relies on attracting—and keeping—the best talent in the natural foods industry, we promote from within whenever possible.

To the right is an outline of the various areas of Frontier that we expect to be hiring as we continue to grow.

Marketing. Marketing activities are driven by our Category Managers, each of whom has profit and loss responsibility and oversees strategic planning, continuing product innovation and general business management activities for a line of branded products. An MBA or previous brand management experience is strongly preferred.

Quality Control. Our extensive in-house Quality Assurance program is critical to producing the high quality products our customers expect. Frontier hires quality control professionals with chemistry, microbiology and botany backgrounds to implement our testing processes.

Operations. Frontier's Operations staff oversees the innovative, quality-driven work force that is the backbone of our effort to meet customer demands. Professionals with engineering and production management experience will find job opportunites in production, safety management and engineering.

Sales. The critical link between product and user, our Sales Department is responsible for motivating and managing our nationwide broker network and retail accounts. Hiring preference is given to applicants with sales management or food sales experience.

Finance. Successful resource management is key to our company's continued growth. We hire skilled accounting and finance graduates, as well as computer programmers and data processing professionals.

Purchasing. We need top-quality raw materials to meet our own high standards and our customers' expectations. Since buyers and commodity managers are responsible for sourcing and purchasing around the world, previous purchasing or food industry experience is an advantage.

Human Resources. Lots of companies talk about their commitment to their employees. At Frontier, we put our promises into action with employee development and satisfaction programs. Our Human Resources department handles staffing, training, benefits and employee relations.

Creative. Our Creative Department produces the materials that explain who we are to our customers. Writers, editors and graphic designers work together to present a compelling and consistent image of Frontier and our products.

Other Opportunities. As a growing firm, Frontier offers excellent entry-level opportunites in our customer service and production departments. Our emphasis on internal promotion means steady advancement for qualified employees.
