Tony Bedard joined Frontier Natural Products Coop more than twenty years
ago as head of Operations and was named CEO in 2002. Prior to joining the
company, Tony was a Production Manager with Winnebago Industries. He has
been a member of the Organic Trade Association board of directors since 2008
and currently serves as Treasurer. As the CEO of Frontier, he is a strong
advocate of corporate social responsibility who has led to dozens of community
building projects around the world. Outside of work, Tony has led medical
and humanitarian delegations to El Salvador and Haiti for more than a decade.
Dave Beal started with Frontier as the Vice President of Operations in 2012.
He was previously the president of MetroGroup. He has extensive knowledge
and experience in LEAN Manufacturing, Toyota Production System (TPS) and
World Class Manufacturing. Dave holds a B.A. from Iowa Wesleyan College and
an MBA from the University of Iowa.
Cole has been with Frontier since 1991, working in various positions within purchasing and operations management. He spent four months in Weaverville as a member of the transition team following Frontier's acquisition of Aura Cacia. He also worked with the sale of the Frontier organic coffee business. As the purchasing director, Cole helped Frontier grow its pioneering organic spice business into one of the largest in the United States by developing strong relationships with organic suppliers around the world. He holds a B.A. from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa.
Carla joined Frontier in 2012 to lead Frontier's Finance team with over 20 years of experience in the financial management of food manufacturing businesses. Carla has held progressive finance and accounting roles within several major food industry organizations. Her experience spans external and internal financial reporting, operations and corporate accounting, commodity risk management, and Sarbanes-Oxley internal control compliance. Carla holds a Bachelor's of Science in Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University and a MBA from the University of Kansas. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Missouri.
Ravin has been with the company since 1999 and leads Frontier's Quality and Research and Development teams. Prior to joining Frontier, Ravin spent eight years working as a scientist. His research career includes a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Iowa and work with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Geological Survey. Ravin holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Northern Arizona University, and also has a Master's Degree and Bachelor's degrees in Microbiology and Electrical Engineering.
Dave joined Frontier in 2012, bringing more than 20 years of consumer marketing experience to the co-op. His experience includes leading brand marketing and innovation groups and holding a variety of positions in consumer products and food businesses — both large organizations and small ones such as a food company start-up featuring grass-fed fresh beef. Dave has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Clint has over twenty-five years of experience in branded sales and marketing — twenty of those years marketing consumer packaged goods in both the traditional grocery and the natural food industries. He has held the positions of Product Manager, Category Manager, Director of Marketing, VP of Marketing, and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Clint first started at Frontier in 1993 as the Category Manager for the co-op's aromatherapy lines and currently oversees all sales and marketing activities for the company's food and flavorings division. Clint has an MBA from the University of Iowa.
