herbs aroma

An affordable gift with a personal touch can be difficult to find. This year you can create real holiday magic and save hours of shopping time by putting together--with our help--personalized spice gift baskets based on high quality Frontier herbs, spices and seasonings. Experience the joy of thoughtful and healthful giving as you give quality natural foods to those on your gift list. No matter what your budget, you can create a special gift that will be appreciated--and won't need to be returned because it was the wrong color, wrong size, a duplicate (how many nightgowns does Grandma really need?), looked better on the store rack than on your sister, or just totally missed the mark. And, with the convenience of Frontier's web-ordering and shipping (orders over $75 will be shipped for free!), you'll be able do it all without ever having to leave the house.

We recommend you take full advantage of the convenience of shopping online by "mellowing out" before you shop. Put on your favorite holiday music and make yourself a hot cup of tea. (You might try one of our seasonal favorites to create a holiday mood--like Frontier's Very Berry bulk tea, a delicious blend of berries that steeps to a beautiful red hue. Or, try Cranberry Orange, Almond Blossom Oolong, Peppermint Leaf, or our raspberry and strawberry flavored--naturally, of course--green teas. Each one is unique in flavor and available in bulk.

Brew yourself a perfect cup of tea, by starting with fresh, cool water. Measure approximately one teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup (and for perfect tea, you'll want to brew just one cup at a time), and add it to your tea diffuser. Make sure the leaves have enough room to unfurl completely. Pour the boiling water directly over the leaves, and steep for two and a half to three minutes. If you don't have a diffuser, just steep the loose tea directly in the water and then pour through a strainer into your cup. (Note to self: Add tea infusers and tea strainers to holiday gift list!)

While the tea is steeping, you can get out your list and check it over one last time. How about adding one person who might typically be overlooked this holiday--the elderly widow or widower who lives in your neighborhood, someone who's struggled through a job loss or serious illness this year, the volunteer who puts in countless hours at your favorite local charity, or the international student who won't make it home for the holidays?

Now grab your tea and your list and look over the suggestions on these pages. Add your own ideas from the variety of products available on the website, and jot down your best gift basket ideas, ordering the items as you go. Cross off the names on your list off one by one...and enjoy the experience.

This one's a great idea for newlyweds, college students, or young adults who have recently moved out on their own and are just getting their home set up. Place a selection of basic herbs and spices (Simply Organic Mini Spices would be a good choice because the small size fits baskets nicely and provides an ideal amount of spice) inside a new glass baking dish or covered cooking pot. Add a set of measuring spoons, a lively colored dishtowel and/or recipe cards with several of your own family favorites to help them get started!
