Hickory Barbecue
Hickory is the favored wood for smoking meats. This blend imparts a hickory-smoked aroma and flavor to meats, poultry, and tofu. Apply as a dry rub or make into a sauce.
The Ingredients: Chili peppers (contains silicon dioxide an anti-caking agent), dehydrated garlic, nutritional yeast, dehydrated onion, paprika, hickory smoke (torula yeast and hickory smoke), black pepper, cumin, nutmeg and cayenne.
· Combine with equal parts lemon juice and mayo. Use to baste chicken, turkey, pork chops or other meat or poultry, tofu or tempeh before and during cooking.
· Add to hamburger or bean/veggie burger patties, meat loaf and nut loaf.
· Include in homemade catsup recipe.
· Combine with catsup or tomato paste and use to marinade meats or tofu.

· Toss with tofu cubes before baking or frying.
· Add to fajita filling for a "wow, what's in this?" flavor.
· Add to chili, stews, and bean soups.
