Jamaican Seasoning
Jamaican Seasoning is convenient enough for everyday cooking, but special enough for celebrations. Use it liberally at your next cookout or picnic--and serve with a platter of fresh fruit.
The ingredients: Dehydrated onion, tomato powder, red pepper (cayenne), allspice, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, fructose, dehydrated garlic, green onion, nutmeg, silicon dioxide (an anti-caking agent) and bay.
· Use as a rub or sprinkle on meat (especially pork or beef), fish, poultry (especially chicken), seafood (especially shrimp), or tofu before grilling or broiling.
· Use to make Jerk marinade by combining with oil (2 parts), soy sauce (1 part), and vinegar (1 part).
