Bancha is Japanese winter tea. It is made from the last and least valued harvest of the tea leaf and is considered the everyday tea of the worker in Japan. It is a very mild and low caffeine tea.
Bancha is a good tea to drink with meals. Its flavor goes well with any food as it is rather indistinctive and does not overwhelm any dish.
