Norway, Iowa (March 28, 2007) — Frontier Natural Products Co-op, a leading U.S. manufacturer and marketer of natural and organic products, has announced it is now an AIB-certified food production facility. Frontier received the certification following a safety audit and onsite inspection by AIB International food safety and hygiene experts.
Since its founding by the baking industry in 1919, AIB has grown to include certification programs for protecting the safety of the food supply chain in a variety of food processing, distribution, foodservice, and retail industries worldwide.
Cole Daily, Frontier's vice president of operations, says the certification is significant for both employees and customers. "Successfully completing this rigorous independent inspection of our facilities is a validation of all the work we have done internally over the years to maintain the highest possible food production standards," he says. "It also gives our customers added assurance that they can have total confidence in the quality and safety of our products."
