Italian Herb Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
1 can (15-ounces) tomato sauce
1 package Simply Organic Italian Herb Spaghetti Sauce Mix
12 slices whole wheat bread
1/3 cup butter
1/2 pound sliced cheese, such as Gouda, pepper jack, or Swiss
1. In a mixing bowl, combine tomato sauce and Italian Herb Spaghetti Sauce Mix. Reserve 1/2 cup.
2. Lightly butter both sides of bread and, in a skillet on medium heat, lightly brown both sides of bread.
3. Add cheese slices and 2 tablespoons sauce mix to one slice of bread. Top with another lightly browned slice of bread. Repeat until 6 sandwiches are made. Serve with the reserve sauce for dipping.
