Did you Know?

While first consumed in the 19th century, gyros were introduced to the United States via Chicago some time between 1965 and 1968. Gyros are enjoyed in countries around the world, but each country adds its own twist. The French serve gyros with chips (French fries) stuffed into the top of the sandwich, for example, while in Canada a sauce consisting of sweetened condensed milk and garlic powder tops off the sandwich.
