Chicken Fried Steak

Southern tradition meets added flavor in this well-seasoned version of a classic.

Ingredients

3 egg whites
2 tablespoons water
1 cup flour
3 tablespoons Simply Organic Grilling Seasons Chicken Seasoning
4 (1/4-inch thick) beef cube steaks, tenderized
3 to 4 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

Directions

Whisk egg whites and water in shallow bowl for 2 to 3 minutes. Mix flour and seasoning together in shallow plate.

Coat steaks on each side with egg mix, and then transfer to flour mixture. Firmly pat flour/spice mix on both side of the steaks. Repeat process to ensure coating is robust.

Heat oil in sauté pan on medium-high. Fry each steak 4 to 5 minutes per side.

Serve with White
Gravy.

For a lower-fat version, broil steaks in oven for 7 to 10 minutes per side.
