Cutout Spice Cookies

A great gluten-free alternative to ginger cut-out cookies

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons amber agave nectar
1 tablespoon water
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 package Simply Organic Spice Cookie Mix
1/2 teaspoon ginger root powder
1/4 cup gluten free flour, plus extra for dusting

Directions

Combine butter, agave, water, and egg in mixing bowl. Add Spice Cookie Mix, ginger, and flour. Stir until evenly mixed. Dough will be very thick. Cover and refrigerate 2 to 3 hours.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll dough out to ï¿½-inch thickness on well-floured surface. Cut into desired shapes. Place on greased baking sheets and bake 8 to 10 minutes.

Chef Suggestions

Decorate with festive sprinkles before baking.

Decorate cooled cookies with icing, raisins, and other gingerbread accoutrements.
