Smoky Gnocchi
4 slices applewood-smoked bacon
2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
4 ounces cream cheese
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 cups fresh baby spinach
2 teaspoons
Frontier Salt-Free Southwest Chipotle Seasoning 1 teaspoon steak sauce
1 package (16 ounces) frozen gnocchi
Place bacon in a large saucepan. Turn heat to medium and cook until all pieces are crispy on both sides. Remove bacon and set on a paper towel. Crumble bacon when cooled.
Pour bacon fat into a saucepan and add flour. Cook over medium heat, stirring to make a golden brown roux (about 3 to 5 minutes). Whisk in milk, then add cream cheese, sour cream, spinach, Chipotle Seasoning and steak sauce, stirring to form a creamy sauce.
Cook gnocchi according to package directions.
Pour cream sauce over cooked gnocchi and sprinkle with bacon crumbles.
Add sautéed onion to the cream sauce for added flavor.
Add more Southwest Chipotle Seasoning to create a sauce that will really blow your socks off.
