Nikki and David Goldbeck, whose best-selling The Supermarket Handbook helped revolutionize America's diet and made "The Goldbecks" a household word in the '70s, are still stirring up the pot thirty-five years later. The Goldbecks, who today have more than one and a half million books in print, are particularly proud of their cookbook American Wholefoods Cuisine — now in a second edition.
The book takes the best of the old and the new to create a contemporary wholefoods cuisine and demonstrates that a good diet is not inconsistent with either a modern lifestyle or the pleasures of fine cooking. American Wholefoods Cuisine has sold more than 250,000 copies. The first edition remained in print for 19 years.
