Fine Fettuccini

This recipe moves along quickly since you can complete most of the steps to make the sauce while your noodles are cooking.

1  package (12-ounce) fettuccini noodles
5 cloves minced {garlic}
1 cup white wine or 1 cup chicken broth powder
1/2 cup fat-free half and half
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated is all the better)
Cook pasta according to directions. Drain.

Melt a little butter over medium heat and sauté garlic for two minutes. Add wine and cook for abother 4 to 5 minutes. Combine 4 tablespoons half-and-half and flour and stir until smooth. Add to wine mixture and stir well. Add remaining half-and-half, salt and pepper. Stir constantly for five minutes or until thickened.

Toss pasta with sauce mixture and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
