Fruited Cottage Cheese
A blend of cinnamon, allspice, and maple syrup add intriguing flavors to this cottage cheese and fruit breakfast. The surprise ingredient here is vinegar. It adds a subtle flavor to the sweet maple syrup.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
1/2 teaspoon ground {cinnamon}
1/4 teaspoon ground {allspice}
1 apple, cored and sliced (about 1 cup)
1 pear, cored and sliced (about 1 cup)
1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 tablespoon cider vinegar or water
1/2 teaspoon ground {cinnamon}
1/4 teaspoon ground {allspice}

Directions
Spoon cottage cheese into 2 small bowls. Mix cinnamon and allspice into cottage cheese. Place each bowl on a dinner plate and arrange apple and pear slices around it. Mix maple syrup and vinegar together and drizzle over fruit.
