French Onion Rings
Ingredients
1 large white onion
2 cups buttermilk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 package Simply Organic French Onion Dip mix
canola oil for frying

Directions
Thinly slice onion and place rings in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Pour buttermilk over onions so all are covered, and let sit for 30 minutes.
Combine dry ingredients and set aside.
Pour canola oil in a wide shallow pan, 2 inches in height. Heat oil to 375 degrees.
Grab a handful of onions with tongs and dip into the dry mixture, shake off excess, and carefully drop into hot oil.
Fry for a few minutes until golden brown and place on a plate with a paper towel. Serve hot.
