Konecny's Cabbage Salad

6 cups sliced cabbage
1  finely sliced carrot
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup milk
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon celery seeds
3 tablespoons minced dried onion
2 to 3 drops Tabasco sauce
Mix together cabbage, carrot, sugar, salt, pepper, and milk. Cover mixture and refrigerate 15 minutes.

Combine mayonnaise, buttermilk, celery seed, dry onion, and Tabasco sauce. Pour over cabbage mixture and refrigerate at least 1 hour prior to serving.

Preparation Time: 15 min
refrigerate 1 hr

Servings: makes about 2 quarts
