Frontier Co-op Initiates Voluntary Class 1 Recall Due for Organic Garlic Powder

NORWAY, IOWA (March 16, 2015) – Frontier Co-op is voluntarily recalling several of its products manufactured with organic garlic powder that were sold under its Frontier and Simply Organic brands, and one product sold under the Whole Foods Market brand due to potential Salmonella contamination. To date, no illnesses have been associated with these products.

Frontier Co-op Initiates Voluntary Recall of Organic Hojicha Tea Due to Possible Health Risk

NORWAY, IOWA (May 10, 2016) – Frontier Co-op is voluntarily recalling its Organic Hojicha Tea due to potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

Organic Spice Leader Brings Dental Services to Farmers in Remote Communities

COBAN, GUATEMALA (July 28, 2016) – More than 25,000 organic cardamom and allspice growers and their families now have access to dental services as the result of a collaboration between Frontier Co-op and Fedecovera Cooperative, a Frontier Co-op Well Earth partner based in Coban, Guatemala. The expanded services are part of Fedecovera’s ongoing program to provide medical and dental care for the mostly indigenous Mayan spice grower communities, which are in remote mountainous regions without easy access to dental services.
