Norway, Iowa (January 5, 2006) — Frontier Natural Products Co-op, a leading U.S. manufacturer and marketer of natural and organic products, announced promotions for four of its top managers following the company's record year in both sales and operating income.
Frontier CEO Tony Bedard describes the year's outstanding performance as a company-wide effort led by an exceptional management team. "Our record bottom lines last year resulted from strong performances in almost every area of the company," Bedard says. "New products, which require the coordination and cooperation of many departments, were a key to our sales growth and record market share. The ability of our company to work together across departmental lines to provide new product sales of almost $1.6 million illustrates the kind of team orientation our managers have provided."
Bedard points out that support like financial administration and human resources management are key contributors to the company's success as well. "A year like last year results from getting the job done in every aspect of business, from the boardroom to the cafeteria," says Bedard. "These promotions reflect my appreciation of the great leadership we're getting from management in keeping our entire team doing its best."
Clint Landis is now Frontier's Chief Marketing Officer. He has over eighteen years of business management experience, much of it marketing consumer-packaged goods. He previously held positions as Frontier Aromatherapy Category Manager, Director of Marketing and Vice President of Marketing.
Dr. Ravin Donald has become Vice President of Quality Assurance and Research and Development. He has been with the company since 1999, working in, and eventually assuming leadership of, Frontier's quality assurance and research and development teams. Dr. Donald holds a Ph.D. in biology.
Tracy Tunwall's new title is Vice President of Human Resources. She is certified as a Senior Human Resource Professional (SPHR), and she has over ten years of experience managing a variety of departments at manufacturing companies operations, quality control, customer service and human resources.
Bill Kooistra, who has been with Frontier since 1992, moves to Chief Financial Officer from Vice President of Finance. Kooistra is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of experience working with co-operatives and was Frontier's auditor from 1983 through 1992.
