Norway, Iowa (October 16, 2008) — Frontier Natural Products Co-op™, a leading U.S. manufacturer and marketer of natural and organic products, received another "Superior" rating following a safety audit and onsite inspection by AIB International food safety and quality experts. "Superior" is the highest rating for an AIB-audited food production facility.
Dr. Ravin Donald, vice president of technical services for Frontier Natural Products Co-op, notes that maintaining this level of rating over the last three inspections is significant for both employees and customers. "Frontier continues to invest in food safety infrastructure and quality systems within the company. Over the last two years, we have invested close to $1 million for food safety initiatives" Donald says. "It also gives our customers continued assurance that they can have total confidence in the quality and safety of our products."
Since its founding by the baking industry in 1919, AIB has grown to include certification programs for protecting the safety of the food supply chain in a variety of food processing, distribution, foodservice, and retail industries worldwide.
