1 cup cooked chickpeas
1/3 cup tahini
¼ cup ground almonds
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op Garlic Granules, Organic
¼ cup water
1 tablespoon Frontier Co-op Parsley, Organic
1/8 teaspoon Frontier Co-op Cayenne, Organic
1 – 2 dashes tamari
Frontier Co-op Sea Salt, to taste
Frontier Co-op Black Pepper, Organic, to taste
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. Serve at room temperature, or cool.
For appetizers, you might make open-face hummus tea sandwiches topped with a halved cherry tomato.
