Create your own dry rub for ribs on the grill, chicken kebabs, pork chops, veggies, or plant-based proteins with all the flavors you love from responsibly sourced spices. Choose from three different heat levels (Scoville Heat Units) of Frontier Co-op® Cayenne Pepper to make this as spicy – or not – as you like!
Makes about 3/4 cup of seasoning.

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Frontier Co-op® Sea Salt (or slightly more to taste)
- 1/4 cup Frontier Co-op® Ground Black Pepper
- 1/4 cup Frontier Co-op® Smoked Paprika
- 3 tablespoons Frontier Co-op® Garlic Powder
- 3 tablespoons Frontier Co-op® Onion Powder
- 3 tablespoons Frontier Co-op® Chili Powder
- 1-2 teaspoons Frontier Co-op® Ground Cayenne Pepper (adjust to heat preference)
Directions
- Into a bowl or a jar (pint size or larger), add salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and cayenne, and whisk or stir until thoroughly combined.
- To use the rub, coat a protein or vegetables with high-heat oil, then sprinkle desired amount of rub on top and rub in with your hands or toss to coat.
- Grill over medium heat until cooked through.
