

Roasted Turmeric Chicken

A delicious whole roasted chicken with a paste rub of coconut oil, savory turmeric blend and garlic.

Ingredients
- 1 whole (4 to 5 lb) chicken
- 3 to 4 tablespoons melted coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons Frontier Co-op® Turmeric Twist Savory Blend
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 whole lemons, cut in half
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Rinse chicken inside and out then pat dry. Place in a roasting pan.
- In a small bowl, combine melted coconut oil, turmeric blend and garlic. Rub mixture over entire chicken. Tie legs together with kitchen twine and place cut lemons inside chicken.
- Bake for 1 to 1 ½ hours (approximately 15 minutes per pound of chicken). A thermometer should reach 165 degrees when inserted into thickest part of chicken. Remove from oven, cover and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
- Add 1 pound of diced yukon gold potatoes to the roasting pan for an easy side-dish.
