Frontier Co-op® Kumaon Black Tea comes from one of India's oldest Himalayan tea gardens. Nestled in the foothills of the mighty Himalayas, Kumaon lies 200 miles west of Nepal’s border in one of the most remote regions in all of India. Its tea plants thrive in the acidic and well-drained soil of the mountainside slopes. A group of primarily women farmers cultivate this rare and premium tea, which is quickly gaining popularity around the world. The techniques used to grow and prepare the tea have been handed down for generations.
