Frontier Co-op
Frontier Co-op Stinging Nettle Leaf, Organic 0.99 oz.
0.99 oz.Frontier Co-op® Organic Stinging Nettle Leaf (Urtica dioica) is an organic herb with a pleasantly bitter herbaceous taste and faint herbaceous aroma. The taste is almost like spinach, with a touch of Italian parsley. The fresh leaves of nettle irritate the skin, but the "stinging" constituents quickly dissipate when the herb is dried.
Stinging nettle has a variety of applications. It can make tasty herbal teas, soups, smoothies, and stir-frys. This product's herbaceous aroma makes it an ideal ingredient for DIY skin care products, as well as wellness teas and shampoos. To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz. boiling water over 2 tsp. herb. Cover and steep for 5-10 minutes, strain and serve immediately.
Our organic stinging nettle leaves are picked right before the blossoms bloom to deliver the best leaves possible. Our leaves are 100% organic, Kosher certified, and non-irradiated. There are no artificial additives or chemicals used at any stage of production. Try the premium quality Frontier Co-op herbs and culinary seasonings in convenient, re-closable packaging.
