Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose unbleached flour
1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op Cardamom Seed Powder
1 dash Frontier Co-op Sea Salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup Frontier Co-op Cane Sugar
1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op Almond Extract
Directions
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cardamom, and salt. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar. Stir in almond extract.
- Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix well. Form into a ball and chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes or more.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Form dough into one-inch balls and roll in sugar.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a cookie stamp (or the back of a fork if you don’t have a stamp). Bake for about 15 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Substitute 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg for the cardamom.
- Replace the almond extract with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
