Ingredients

1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup unsweetened almond butter

3 tablespoons Frontier Co-op Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Powder

1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op Vanilla Extract

1/4 (plus 2 tablespoons) cups maple syrup

2 tablespoons sesame oil

1/4 teaspoon Frontier Co-op Table Grind Sea or Kosher Flake Salt

water, for smoothing
Directions
- In a food processor, add chickpeas, almond butter, cocoa powder, vanilla, 1/4 cup maple syrup, sesame oil and salt. Puree, adding 1/4 cup water at a time, until hummus is smooth. Taste and add more maple syrup as desired for additional sweetness.
- Transfer hummus to a bowl and serve with pretzels, strawberries, and apples.
