

Mashed Turnips and Rutabagas

Ingredients
- 1 pound turnips, peeled and diced
- 1 pound rutabagas, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Sea Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Black Pepper
- Add one or more of the following seasonings:
- 1/4 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Caraway Seed
- 1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Thyme Leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Cilantro
- 1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Organic Parsley Flakes
- 1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Onion Powder
Directions
- Boil turnips and rutabagas until tender, about 20 minutes.
- Drain. Combine in a bowl with remaining ingredients and mash. Serve immediately.
- Top with sauteed onions.
